Maths – 3D City 🏙

During the past few weeks we have been learning about 3d shapes, we had to learn about them then get into groups of 1 – 3, Lilia and Despina were in my group. After we learnt about the shapes we started designing the shape templates ( also called Nets ) and then cut them out and glue them.  After we had glued them we had to glue them on to a big piece of paper and make a city.

Its not quite finished but here is our city we made.

Mythical Creature Writing

During the past week we have been writing stories about a mythical creature we had to make up.

Here is mine.

Twinkleberry

The Twinkleberry is a mythical creature that can only be found in rain forests, but it is extremely rare and there can only be one in the world at a time. The Twinkleberry is a mix of a water droplet and a dragon.

Twinkleberrys are very small and hard to spot.  They will most likely run away if spotted. If a Twinkleberry is touched by a human or animal it will burst and soak into the ground, a new Twinkleberry will be born from a plant called a Holly Daisy and there is only one Holy Daisy in the world. If it died Twinkleberrys would go extinct

Twinkleberrys don’t eat anything because they are mainly made out of water, they only drink water and nothing else. If a Twinkleberry doesn’t drink water for one day they can die, they need to drink water everyday to survive. If you ever see a Twinkleberry please leave it alone. They mean no harm and they are rare so do not touch it because legends say if you touch it you can get a curse.

During the past two weeks the whole school has been going swimming. The first week we just did regular swimming lessons,we did Backstroke, Freestyle, Breaststroke and even Butterfly. The next week was way more exciting on Monday it was just regular but on Tuesday we did life jackets! On Wednesday we put on life jackets again and some of us went on an inflatable boat and some of us were throwing ropes or anything that floats to try save the person, we also learnt how to fall of the boat safely. The next day we swapped over the group that did the saving people did the boat and the people that did the boat did the saving people thing. Then on Friday was pajama day witch was when you bring your pajama’s to swimming and wear them in the pool.
